Using Presto with Fluency for Imaging

Presto works alongside Fluency for Imaging on Windows. Dictate findings into a Presto Findings field in your report, or capture a worksheet, and Presto merges them into the right places in your Fluency report.

Open Fluency for Imaging and open a report. When Presto recognizes the study, its buttons turn purple and the status line reads “Ready”.

In Fluency, create a macro that contains a form field titled Presto Findings, then insert it into your report (or your templates).

Fluency gives a macro three different names. Only one matters to Presto:

Fluency name	What to use
Form field title	Presto Findings (this is what Presto looks for)
Macro name	Anything you like
Spoken cue	Anything you like, for example “presto”

The field has to be in the report. A macro that only exists in your template library isn’t enough.

Dictate your findings into the Presto Findings field, then click the merge button (or press your merge shortcut). Presto merges the findings into the matching sections and fields of your report, writes an impression according to your Impression Style, and empties the Presto Findings field so it’s ready for your next dictation.

Fluency doesn’t need to be in front during the merge. Don’t type in the report until the merge finishes: if the report changes mid-merge, Presto doesn’t write it.

Presto Capture works the same way as with PowerScribe. Captured measurements merge into your Fluency report.

Use Restore on the merge in the Presto Feed.

• Sign out of Presto when users switch. Presto doesn’t see who is signed into Fluency, so merges are credited to whoever is signed into Presto on that workstation.
• Templates: tested with templates that have fields and with section-only templates.
